Sectors

We recruit wherever the contract takes us.

Yas Ulster isn't tied to one industry. We take a brief, learn the role, and go and find the person. These are the areas we've worked in most.

Cleaning

Commercial and contract cleaning operatives, industrial deep clean teams and cleaning supervisors.

Manufacturing & production

Production operatives, machine operators, assembly staff, quality control and line supervisors.

Industrial & warehouse

Warehouse operatives, forklift drivers, pickers and packers, and logistics support.

Hospitality

Kitchen staff, front of house and hotel operations roles.

Construction & trades

Skilled trades, labourers and site support staff.

Office & administration

Administrators, receptionists and finance support.

Care & support

Care assistants and support workers for care homes and supported living services, enhanced Access NI checked before placement.

Security

SIA licensed door supervisors and security officers, with the licence checked and verified before every placement.

Not on the list? A good share of our work starts with a call about a role we've not filled before.

How it works

Four steps, and you know where you stand at each one.

STEP 01

We take the brief

A conversation about the role, the team and what "right" actually looks like for you.

STEP 02

We search and screen

We interview candidates ourselves, take up references and complete right-to-work checks.

STEP 03

You get a shortlist

A small number of people we'd stand over, with notes on why each one is on the list.

STEP 04

We see it through

We confirm the booking, get them on site, and check in once they've started.

Why Yas Ulster

Small enough to answer the phone. Thorough enough to get it right.

You deal with the same person

No account manager handovers and no call centre. The person who takes your brief is the person who calls you back.

Compliance isn't an afterthought

Right-to-work checks, references and vetting are done before we shortlist — not scrambled together after you've made an offer.

Based here, hiring here

We're on University Street in Belfast. We know which roles are hard to fill in this market and we'll tell you straight if yours is one of them.

Outstanding service from Yas Ulster Recruitment. They provided high-quality staff at short notice and made the entire recruitment process effortless. A pleasure to work with — I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to any business looking for dependable recruitment support.
Peter · PPP
We've used Yas Ulster for our cleaning contracts since 2023. The staff they send are reliable and they turn up — and when someone is off, the absence gets covered quickly instead of leaving us short. That consistency is why we've stayed with them.
Johnny
Yas Ulster Recruitment has been fantastic from day one. They consistently deliver reliable, hardworking staff and always respond quickly to our staffing needs. Their professionalism has made them a trusted recruitment partner, and I highly recommend their services.

A ten minute call is usually enough to tell you whether the role is fillable and roughly how long it'll take.

Common questions

The things employers and candidates ask first.

Can you handle several vacancies, or recruit for us on an ongoing basis?
Yes. A good deal of our work is repeat hiring for the same clients rather than one-off placements — a run of cleaning operatives across multiple sites, or production staff as a line scales up. We can work role by role or under a standing arrangement with agreed rates, whichever suits how you plan your headcount.
Can you go on our preferred supplier list or respond to a tender?
Yes. Our insurance limits, company registration and ICO details are set out on our credentials & compliance page, and we can supply certificates, our terms of business and a written description of our screening process on request. Send us the documentation you need completed and a deadline, and we will work to it.
What checks do you carry out before we see a candidate?
We interview every candidate ourselves, take up references and complete right-to-work checks before anyone reaches your shortlist. You receive a small number of people we would stand over, with notes on why each one is on the list, rather than a stack of unscreened CVs.
What happens if someone leaves shortly after starting?
We replace them. Because we keep an active pool of screened candidates in the sectors we cover, we can usually put a replacement in front of you straight away rather than restarting the search from scratch. The aim is that your operation carries on uninterrupted — that is the point of using us rather than advertising the role yourself.
How quickly can you fill a role?
It depends on the role, the location and the salary on offer. We would rather tell you honestly on the first call that something will be difficult than take the brief and go quiet on you.
Are the staff on your payroll or ours?
Ours. We supply temporary staff as an employment business, so we engage and pay the worker, handle PAYE, National Insurance and holiday pay, and you are invoiced for the hours worked. If you want to keep someone permanently, you can buy them from us once they have been on hire with you for six months, on terms agreed in writing.
I'm looking for work — does it cost me anything?
No. We never charge a work-seeker a fee for finding or seeking to find them work. Send us your CV and we will be in touch when something suitable comes up, and we will always tell you who we intend to send it to before we send it anywhere.
